After a year hiatus the puck will finally drop on the 2022 NHL Winter Classic in Minneapolis Saturday night.
The day will be about much more than the outdoor game between the Minnesota Wild and St. Louis Blues.
The 'State of Hockey celebration' will also see rivals in Grand Rapids and Duluth East representing boys hockey skating on one of several auxiliary rinks at Target Field. Combined the two teams hold seven state titles.
Puck drop between the Wild and Blues is set for 6pm.
High school hockey means absolutely everything to the Minnesota community. ??
