The home of the University of North Dakota Fighting Hawks hockey team is being considered as a potential NHL site.

If sports events are deemed safe to return the league has discussed playing the remainder of the season in sites with low population density, like Grand Forks. However, fans are still expected to not be allowed.

Ralph Engelstad Arena was built in 2001 with two sheets of ice under the one roof and a capacity of 11,643 people.

The facility also boasts eight NHL ready locker rooms with separate coaches locker rooms. Minnesota Wild forward Zach Parise called his alma mater's setup better than NHL locker rooms.
