The NFL Playoffs begin this weekend, but the Minnesota Vikings won't be playing, they'll be watching. They'll play in them eventually though. By earning the second seed and a bye, the Vikings will host an NFC Divisional Round Game on January 14th. Minnesota just so happens to be hosting the Super Bowl in February and what better place to win their first title? Of course, they have to get that far first

The league went to a 16-game regular season schedule back in 1978 and at 13-3, this is the second best record that the Vikings have ever posted. The only record that was better was back in 1998 when they went 15-1.

"We got good players. Our corners can cover and safeties can blitz and pressure and linebackers can blitz and cover and defensive line can cover and rush and it is important and we spend an awful lot of time at," says Head Coach Mike Zimmer.

"I think guys understand what the ultimate goal is and I think guys understand how close it is and I think guys can see it and they can feel it and they can taste it," says Defensive End Brian Robison.

"We just try our best to not let each other down and not let the coaches down and we just try and play our game and be aggressive," says Cornerback Xavier Rhodes.

"Over the year, it is really hard to win and for us to put together that many wins - it just means that we have done a lot of good things," says Running Back Latavius Murray.

"Definitely right now, (we are) enjoying this win and enjoying the season. At the same time, we have a lot ahead of us and we are really excited about what is coming up.

Now the goal for the Vikings is to go 16-3. They are 13-3 right now and to get to that mark, they need three more wins and that would include a Super Bowl Championship. The Vikings have an 0-4 record in Super Bowls and they haven't played in one since January 9th, 1977.
