Five participants in last year's NCAA Division II Tournament - including the 2018 national champions - highlight the list of match-ups for this coming fall.

The Bulldogs will host defending national champion University of Bridgeport on Sept. 12 at home at 6 p.m., the last of three non-conference home matches that will make up the first three games of the season. UMD will face Northern Michigan University to jump start the season on Friday, Sept. 6 at 6:00 pm at home.

"It's a heavy home schedule that suits well for us," said Head Coach Greg Cane on the team's website. He will enter his 26th season at the helm of the Bulldogs this fall. "In a season where we are looking at bouncing back, home opportunity should really help provide us with that."

There will be plenty of home games. Eleven of the Bulldogs 18 regular season showdowns will be held on campus - UMD will have just two games on the road in all of September. UMD's first five games will be played at home, including the beginning of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action against the University of Minnesota Crookston on Sept. 20, followed by the Bulldogs second game against an NCAA tournament squad, Bemidji State University, on Sunday, Sept. 22 at 1:00 p.m. at home.

Minnesota State-Mankato, a team that made it into the second round of the NCAA tourney a year ago, will be UMD's first road test on Sept. 27 at 3:00 p.m. The Bulldogs will wrap up the regular portion of their schedule on Nov. 8 at 3:00 p.m. when they host St. Cloud State University.

UMD is in the midst of a year-long 25th anniversary celebration that started with the 25th season in 2018 and will end with 25th year at the end of the 2019. The Bulldogs went 7-10-1 a season ago, playing 11 of 18 games on the road. UMD went 4-2-1 in the confines of Malosky Stadium in its seven home games in 2018.
