No. 1 UMD Notches First Win in 2-1 Victory Over UMass Lowell

The top-ranked UMD men's hockey team defeated UMass Lowell 2-1 Saturday night, splitting their series and notching their first win of the season. 


Justin Richards scored first for UMD short-handed in the second period. Nick Swaney scored the game-winning goal five minutes into the third period.

Bulldog goaltender Hunter Shepard made 22 saves.
