MIB defeated Silver Bay 34-14 to claim their second straight section title. The eighth seeded Rangers (9-1) practiced in the snow Thursday in preparation for facing top-seeded South Ridge (8-2) Friday.

"I think that's what the key is for us this year, is we get you to the third fourth quarter and it's close, we'll beat you," said MIB senior running back Dillon Drake.

Drake commented on the Panther's tough defensive, but said that their game plan is to give it their all, just as they have all season.

Kickoff for the State quarterfinal match is set for Friday at 7 p.m. at Public Schools Stadium in Duluth. The winner will advance to the semifinals next week in Minneapolis.
