Fawcett Scores in OT as Proctor/Hermantown Defeats Rochester Lourdes in State A Quarters

St. Paul, Minn. - Just 1:36 seconds into overtime, Kaitlyn Fawcett connected to give #4 Proctor/Hermantown a 3-2 win over #5 Rochester Lourdes in the State A Girl's Hockey Quarterfinals at the Xcel Energy Center.

The Mirage are making their fifth trip to state and fourth since 2014.

Proctor/Hermantown scored the first goal of the game 11:57 into the first period, courtesy of Aurora Opsahl. The Mirage lead 1-0 after one period.

Clara Billings tied the game for Rochester Lourdes with a goal 1:40 into the second period.

The game was tied at 1 when Sydney Skorich connected for the Mirage 8:14 into the third period. But, Maggie Hanzel scored on the power play for the Eagles with 43 seconds to go. The game would go to overtime tied at two.

The Mirage will now face #1 Warroad in the State A Semifinals on Friday at 1:30 p.m. The game will be televised in the Northland on WDIO 2.
