Former University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) defenseman Scott Perunovich probably won't ever forget receiving the Hobey Baker Memorial Award back on April 11th.

It's partially due to the fact that it's college hockey's highest individual honor and because he received the honor via a Zoom call. Hobey organizers made sure this year was still special by holding a golf outing and banquet on Thursday at The Royal Club in Lake Elmo to honor the Hibbing native.

Perunovich is the record sixth Hobey Baker winner for the Bulldogs. He was joined by seven fellow Hobey Baker winners at the event, along with a large number of family members, friends and college hockey fans.

He officially signed St Louis Blues last month, but won't play for the team until next season.

Perunovich marks the third defenseman in four years to win the award.
