On Thursday the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) released updated health and safety guidelines regarding youth and adult organized sports.

Part of this update includes a change in mask and face covering requirements.

Masks and face coverings are no longer required for student-athletes in outdoor contests and practices when they are actively engaged in competition or practice. Masks will still be required when they are not actively participating in competition or practice and cannot maintain social distancing.

Masks or face coverings are still required for student/athletes competing or practicing indoors.
