Ashland, Wisc. - A new head coach for the Ashland boy's basketball team and it's Lisa Karau.

She's from Mosinee and played college softball at UW-Platteville. She was the head coach for Tomahawk girl's hoops that past two seasons.

In an online conversation, Karau confirmed to WDIO Sports her appointment as the Head Coach of the Oredockers. She also said, "I hope to bring to Ashland a high level of enthusiasm and positivity that hopefully gives students, families and community members a greater outlook and to see success in the program through all levels."

According to Mark Miller of Wisconsin Basketball Yearbook, Karau is the fourth female in the state of Wisconsin coaching a boy's varsity team.
