One of the biggest moments of her professional career happened in her hometown when she won the 2012 USA Women's Half Marathon Championship, which was part of Grandma's Marathon weekend. In the process, she set a course record with a time of 1:09:45. This year, Goucher is back to race on the half marathon course once again as she is part of the 28th Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon. She competed in that race last year, finishing fifth. It was her first race back after recovering from knee injuries.

The 28th Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon is on Saturday. Tonight, Goucher was part of an event called "Don Ness Shows Off Duluth" at the NorShor Theatre.
