They are Jim Nowak of Cornell, Wisconsin and John Naslund of Bloomington. Nowak's from Duluth, Naslund's from Two Harbors. They will be back. But Joe Johnson of Menominee, Michigan won't be. He had a stroke earlier this year and won't run this weekend. As a trio, "The Iron Three" reached 1,000 miles at Grandma's in 2015.

"It is always nice to see those gentleman come out and participate year after year and it is just amazing how many marathons they have logged," says Grandma's Marathon Marketing and Public Relations Director Mandi Peterson.
