Six prep athletes at Duluth Denfeld signed their national letter of intent to continue their athletic careers at the college level.

On Wednesday, Claire Barless and Mary Johnson signed their NLI's to play soccer at the next level. Johnson plans to attend at Elmhurt University and Barless plans to go to Bates College.

Denfeld senior Isaac Fink plans to run cross country and track at Augustana University. Joe Udd committed to play baseball for the College of St. Scholastica.

"We play at Wade, so we'd have like practice or games right after them," explained Udd about the Saints. "I'd see the end of their games or the end of their practices and they always look like they're having fun and usually winning," he added.

In addition, Joe Rudd and Lindsay Johnson both signed to swim for the University of St. Thomas at the Division I level.

"There are a couple of other D1 schools in the same league that St. Thomas will be joining that I applied to that didn't want me for some reason or other," said Rudd. "I'm hoping to have my moment where I show them all up."

"I'm very excited. It's a big reason why I wanted to go there and I'm just looking forward to the training and all the opportunities," added Johnson about her decision.
