Mohamed Hrezi of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Ann Centner of Tallahassee, Florida crossed the finish line first in the 31st annual Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon.

Hrezi finished with a time of 1:04:14, which was more than a minute better the runner-up David Fitzmaurice.

Centner finished with a time of 1:14:23 and was more than two minutes ahead of runner-up Sarah David.

This year’s start of the race looked a little different. Instead of the traditional gun time, chip times were used to track the runners. Hrezi and Centner were first two runners to cross the finish line in their respective divisions and overall ended up winning their respective races.

This also marked the first time the two athletes have run in the Duluth race. There were 3,305 (1275 men, 2030 women) total finishers of the Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon.
