Northwestern Boy's Hoops Is Ready For The State Stage

Superior, Wisc. - The state-wait ends at nine for Northwestern as the boy's basketball team from the Maple-based high school is headed to the WIAA Division 3 State Tournament.

The Tigers (21-5) are seeded fourth and will face top seeded Martin Luther (23-3) of Greendale on Thursday at 1:35 p.m. in the semifinals at the Kohl Center in Madison. The other semifinal features #2 Waupun (25-1) vs #3 Denmark (22-4) in the game afterwards. The winners will advance to Saturday's championship.

The Tigers won two overtime games in their postseason journey, including over Wisconsin Dells in Marshfield for the sectional final. First year Head Coach Nolan Graff is a played at Northwestern and has played at state. One of his players this year is his younger brother Jenner.
