Hibbing's McDonald, Deer River's Morrison land on Mr. Basketball watch list

Hibbing boy's basketball senior Ayden McDonald and Deer River senior Ty Morrison have landed on the Bob McDonald Minnesota Mr. Basketball Watch List.

McDonald's dad, and head coach, Joel McDonald won the award in 1991. Ayden currently leads the state in points per game averaging 30.2, and steals with 53.

Morrison currently sits third in the state in assists with 78.

The top ten will be announced on February 14 and the final five on March 7. The 2022 winner will be announced following the state tournament in March. For the full watch list, CLICK HERE.
