Fond du Lac Powers Past Fergus Falls in Season Opener

The Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College Thunder football squad defeated Minnesota State-Fergus Falls 36-3 in their season opener Saturday night.

It was also the Thunder's home opener, hosting Fergus Falls at the Spartan Sports Complex in Superior.

Each team scored a field goal in the first half. It was tied 3-3 in the second quarter when Anthony Boyd connected with Eric Grant for a 45-yard touchdown to take the 9-3 lead. The Thunder scored 33 unanswered points.

Next, they travel to North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton, North Dakota Saturday. Kickoff is set for 2 P.M.. For their full schedule click here.
