Esko native and alum Koi Perich will be making his return to the University of Minnesota football team this fall for is sophomore season and has now earned two more preseason All-American awards.

Perich has been named a preseason Second Team All-American by the Walter Camp Football Foundation, along with preseason All-American and All Big Ten Team by Athlon Sports.

Last season the safety played in every single game with the Gophers, posting five interceptions, 46 tackles, and one forced fumble.
