Wins for Ely Girls and Boys Nordic Ski Squads at Spirit Mountain

Duluth, Minn. - There was prep nordic ski at Spirit Mountain in Duluth on the second day of 2018 with the Proctor/Hermantown Invite.

Nine varsity girls teams and ten varsity boys teams weren't phased by the weather, racing five kilometers in freestyle competions.

Ely Senior Emma Terwilliger lead the way with a time of 17:00.5 to earn medalist honors. Her team took top honors with a score of 382. Duluth East was second at 365 and Grand Rapids was third with a score of 362.

Grand Rapids Senior Alex Kelling finished first with a time of 13:53.9, but his team finished second in the boy's meet. The Thunderhawks had a score of 367, but Ely edged them with a score of 371. Cloquet-Esko-Carlton was third at 361.
