Saint Louis FC Defeats Duluth FC to Advance in U.S. Open Cup

Duluth, Minn. - 94 teams earned spots in the 2018 U.S. Open Soccer Cup. It is the 105th edition of the tournament and it features pro and amateur teams from a number of leagues. This year marks the first time Duluth FC has been part of it. After their thrilling first round win vs Dakota Fusion FC, the BlueGreens had a chance to do what no Minnesota amateur team has done in this tournament and advance past the second round.

The BlueGreens hosted Saint Louis FC from the United Soccer League, which is a professional league. It turns out, the visitors will advance as Saint Louis FC won 2-0. The goals came from Kadeem Dacres in the 25th minute and Corey Hertzog in the 35th minute.

The match had an official attendance of 584 at Public Schools Stadium in Duluth.
