Duluth East Hires Girls Basketball Coach

Duluth East hires Rich Windt to replace Brea Boomer who stepped down to pursue a modeling career.

Windt graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Superior with a Bachelor's Degree in physical education along with minors in health and coaching. While at UWS, Coach Windt played two years of college baseball and was also the assistant coach for the women's basketball team for one year.

Currently, Coach Windt is a teacher at Lincoln Park Middle School and will be starting his 15th year teaching. He has 17 years of coaching experience at all levels including elementary, middle, high school and college. He has coached for the Salvation Army, Bayfield Public Schools, Proctor High School, Northwestern High School, and UWS. His most recent coaching position was as head coach for the girls' basketball team in the school district of Maple where his record was 66-26 over four years.
