Prep Hoops 2/9: Greyhounds Retire Rickert's Jersey, Hermantown Boys & Duluth Denfeld Girls Earn Wins

Hermantown boys and Duluth Denfeld girls basketball teams each tallied wins on Saturday, while the Duluth East boys team fell in a tough section game against Blaine. The Greyhounds also honored former East standout, Rick Rickert, by retiring his No. 44 jersey.

Hermantown defeated Duluth Marshall 94-53. Connor Bich scored 39 points for the Hawks.

Duluth East fell to Blaine 71-58.

In girls hoops, Duluth Denfeld defeated Chisholm 51-46. Gianna Torres led the Hunters with 15 points.
