After being shut out by Grand Rapids by a final score of 5-0 in game one on Thursday, Duluth Denfeld rallied in game two to win 10-3 claiming the Section 7AAA championship title. The Hunters are headed back to the state tournament for the first time since 1954.

Duluth Marshall only needed one game as the Hilltoppers shut out Esko winning 9-0 for the Section 7AA title and are headed back to the state tournament for their third straight year. Senior pitcher and St. Scholastica commit Brett Benson only allowed five hits and struck out just one batter in the victory.

Ely took game one winning 9-8 in the Section 7A final to force a must-win game two. In the final game, South Ridge shut out Ely winning 9-0. This marks the Panthers second straight trip state tournament.
