CSS Softball Selected First in UMAC Preseason Poll

Duluth, Minn. - The College of St. Scholastica has won nine straight Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Championships and the other conference coaches have picked the Saints as the favorite for 2018. The UMAC Softball Preseason Coaches' Poll was announced Wednesday.

The Saints received 61 points and six first-place votes. Last season's co-runner-ups, Crown College and the University of Northwestern, came in second (53 points) and third (51 points) respectively and each received a first-place nod.

UW-Superior was picked fourth and Northland eighth in the nine-team poll.
