CSS men’s hockey snaps losing streak with win over Bethel
CSS men’s hockey had lost four straight games before their meeting with Bethel on Friday night, which the Saints won 4-3.
CSS got on the board first, with a Nathan Adrian goal, however, Bethel would come roaring back and score three goals to put CSS in a 3-1 deficit midway through the second period, but in the second half of the second, the Saints would find their fire, as Hunter Hanson would make it 3-2 and Adrian would score a second goal, this time on the power play to send the game into the third period tied at 3-3.
In the third, Brodie Girod found the back of the net to give CSS the lead, and the Saints would be able to defend the lead, claiming their first win in four games.
Eino Rissanen stood tall in goal, with 34 goals, including 15 saves in the third.
CSS and Bethel next meet at Bethel on Saturday at 5 p.m.
