Statistical Championship for Cory Albertson of UW-Superior Baseball

Superior, Wisc. - Cory Albertson of UW-Superior has been awarded the NCAA Division III statistical championship for Home Runs Per Game.

His average was .38 for the 2018 season. He slugged a total 13 home runs in 34 games.

The sophomore catcher/first baseman from Stillwater and UMAC Player of the Year led the conference in home runs (13), slugging percentage (.847), and RBIs (42). He was second in batting average (.411), hits (55), and runs (46). Among all DIII baseball players, Albertson was eighth in both slugging percentage and home runs, 15th in runs per game, 39th in RBI, and 59th in batting average.
