Yellowjackets Sweep Rams, Stay Undefeated in UMAC

The University of Wisconsin-Superior (UWS) softball team swept North Central to remain undefeated in Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) play.

UWS defeated North Central in game one 9-1 after six innings, and 14-2 after five innings in game two. 

With the doubleheader sweep, the Yellowjackets extended their winning streak to 12 games and finished the regular season a perfect 8-0 at home. They also remain undefeated (12-0) in UMAC play.

In game one, Bailey Armstrong had four hits in four at bats for UWS. Tiffany Kirk, Alayna Tulip, Ashley Taipale, and Gabby Gidley all had two hits in the game.

In game two, UWS scored eight runs in the first inning. Gidley led the Yellowjackets with four runs. Armstrong followed up three.
