Schley is the UMAC Player of the Year. She gives the Saints back-to-back conference player of the year awards as Alexa Bremer (Forest Lake, Minn./Forest Lake HS) earned the distinction last season. The Saints have had five UMAC Players of the Year since 2014.

Schley led the conference with 26 RBIs in league play and also finished in the top seven among league players in home runs (4), slugging percentage (.922), hits (24), batting average (.471) and on-base percentage (.526). Her numbers in the pitching circle were also impressive finishing second in the conference with seven UMAC victories, while also finishing in the top three in strikeouts (41), earned run average (1.76) and opposing batting average (.215).

Overall, she hit over .400 for the second time in her career (.423) and delivered a career-high 40 RBIs, 47 hits, including five home runs. Her 13 wins this season almost matched her total from the previous three seasons of 15. Her 89 strikeouts this year did match the last three seasons combined. She finished with the third-highest career batting average (.412) in program history and the second-most doubles (57) in a career.

Bursik took over a UW-Superior squad late this winter and helped lead the team to a second-straight UMAC runner-up finish. The Yellowjackets lost just twice in the conference season to eventual champion Bethany Lutheran. As a team in UMAC games, the Yellowjackets hit an impressive .359 and were second in slugging (.542) and RBI (101). Under Bursik's direction, the Yellowjacket pitching staff recorded a 2.20 ERA and held opponents to a conference-low .223 average.
