UWS Women Upset No. 7 River Falls, Men Suffer Sweep to No. 4 Eau Claire

The UWS women's hockey team upset No. 7 River Falls 2-1 Saturday in Superior. On the road, the Yellowjacket men fell 2-0 to No. 4 Eau Claire. 

Kaleigh Martinson scored the game winning goal for UWS at Wessman Arena, to win 2-1 and split the WIAC series with UWRF. Ashley Schintz scored first in the first period for UWS. Reilly Springman scored the sole goal for the Falcons.

In Eau Claire, the UWS men fell 2-0 to No. 4 Eau Claire suffering the WIAC sweep. Matt Stanton and Jake Bresser scored in the first and third periods for the Blugolds. Netminder Myles Hektor made 21 saves for UWS.
