No. 5 UMD Falls 4-2, Splits Series with No. 1 St. Cloud State

The No. 5 University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) men's hockey team split their series with No. 1 St. Cloud State following a 4-2 loss Saturday evening.

Riley Tufte scored first for the Bulldogs with an assist from Justin Richards. Ten minutes later, Richards scored on the power play giving UMD the 2-0 lead. 

St. Cloud State would score twice in the first period to tie it up 2-2. Spencer Meier netted the Huskies first goal on the power play. This was the first power play goal the Bulldogs allowed in nine games. In the second period, Easton Brodzinski gave St. Cloud State their first lead of the series.

UMD goaltender Hunter Shepard had 18 saves.
