No. 5 UMD Topples Top-Ranked St. Cloud State in 3-1 Victory

The No. 5 University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) men's hockey team took down No. 1 ranked St. Cloud State Friday evening in a 3-1 victory.

UMD had the first goal in the first period from Nick Swaney, assisted by Peter Krieger. Noah Cates would score the go ahead goal in the third period, and a goal by Justin Richards would hand the Bulldog the 3-1 victory. 

Robby Jackson scored the sole goal for St. Cloud State.

Bulldog goaltender Hunter Shepard made 30 saves.
