Prep Soccer 9/14: Cloquet-Esko-Carlton, Proctor, Denfeld & Superior Notch Wins in LSC Jamboree

In prep soccer Saturday, Cloquet-Esko-Carlton (CEC), Proctor, Duluth Denfeld and Superior boys earned wins in the Lake Superior Conference (LSC) Jamboree at the Spatan Sports Complex in Superior.

CEC defeated Ashland 7-1. Joe Baker had two goals and one assist for the CEC Lumberjacks, while Sam bailey had two assists and one goal. Reece Larson scored the sole goal for Ashland.

Proctor shutout Mesabi East 6-0. Kayden Rengo and Ben Harnell each scored two goals in the first half for the Rails. 

Denfeld defeated Hermantown 3-2. Keegan Chastey scored all three goals for the Hunters, with one assist coming from Joe Eklund. Demetri Regas had 11 saves for Denfeld. Seth Johnson had one goal and one assist for Hermantown, Evan Bjorlin had one goal. Zach Carson had 10 saves for the Hawks.

Superior claimed the 2-1 overtime victory over Duluth Marshall. Duluth Marshall's Masaki Hirata scored the sole goal for the Hilltoppers.
