Cloquet Snaps Losing Skid, Proctor Earns Eighth Straight Win in Girls Hoops

The Cloquet and Proctor girls' basketball teams each earned wins on Monday night.

Cloquet defeated Duluth East by a final score of 61-52. The win snaps a two-game losing skid for the Lumberjacks.

The Greyhounds were led by seventh grader Ashlynne Guenther who scored 22 points in the loss.

In the other game, Proctor defeated Virginia by a final score of 55-37. The loss ends with Blue Devils win-streak at three and extends the Rails winning-streak to eight games.

Sam Pogatchnik led Proctor with 19 points followed by Liz Frase with 11 points.

The Blue Devils were led by Peyton Wiercinski who had 12 points.

Cloquet and Proctor are set to face each other later this week. That game is scheduled for Thursday at 7:15 P.M.
