Bulldogs Ranked 10th in College Football America Yearbook Preseason Poll

Duluth, Minn. - The UMD football team open in September and they'll head into the 2019 season as the 10th ranked team in NCAA Division II, according to College Football America Yearbook.

The poll was released Monday. Minnesota State-Mankato is the only other Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) school to crack the poll. The Mavericks are 10th.

The Bulldogs return 46 lettermen - including six starters on offense and seven on defense - from last year's team, which posted an 11-1 overall record (going a perfect 11-0 during the regular season) and captured a share of the overall Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference championship while also securing its ninth NCAA Division II playoff berth and eleventh postseason berth since 2008.

The 11-time Defending NSIC North Division Champion Bulldogs begin preseason camp on August 12th. They open the season September 5th at home vs Minot State University.
