Pederson is the first Hilltopper to get selected in the MLB Draft. Pedersen is six foot five inches tall and can throw in the mid-90's. He has helped Duluth Marshall make it State the past two seasons. With one more win, the Hilltoppers will make it three straight trips.

For his career, Pedersen is 27-1 overall with a 1.07 ERA. He also has 280 strikeouts in 202 innings.

He has committed to play college baseball at NCAA Division I Missouri.

When asked if he could potentially turn pro sooner rather than later, Pedersen said he is planning on going to college, but also said it would depend on the offer he would get from the Orioles. He has until June 15th to decide.
