Huskies Hold off Stingers for Series Split

In the Northwoods League, the Duluth Huskies defeated the Willmar Stingers 3-2 Saturday evening forcing the series split. Willmar defeated Duluth 8-5 in game one Friday at Wade Stadium.

The Huskies scored first in the bottom of the fourth thanks to an overthrown pass to third base allowing Nic Kent to steal home. Dexter Swims and Noah Marcelo each singled for a RBI in the fifth inning. 

Willmar would score two before the end of the match from Brandon Bohning and Brock Anderson.

The Huskies would hold off the Stingers in the ninth inning for the 3-2 victory.

Next, Duluth kicks off another home series Sunday hosting La Crosse. First pitch is set for 3:05 P.M. at Wade Stadium.
