No. 1 Andover and No. 6 Elk River/Zimmerman to Face off in Section 7AA Championships

In the Section 7AA boy's hockey semifinals Saturday at AMSOIL Arnea, No. 1 Andover shutout No. 4 Forest Lake 7-0 and No. 6 Elk River/Zimmerman defeated No. 2 Grand Rapids to advance to the section title game. 


Garrett Schifsky scored two goals for the Huskies in their 7-0 victory over the Rangers. 

Maccrea Murphy scored the sole goal for Grand Rapids in the third period cut the Elk's lead in half, making it 2-1. Former Minnesota Wilderness player Zach Michaelis scored the Elks empty netter in the third period to defeat the Thunderhawks.

Andover will battle Elk River/Zimmerman for their first section 7AA title Thursday at 7 p.m. at AMSOIL Arena.
