Wisconsin voters on Tuesday will narrow two federal races, numerous state races, and several local races ahead of the November election, and also decide on a referendum in Ashland County.

The primary election ballot features six Republicans seeking to challenge U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin and two Democrats seeking to challenge U.S. Rep. Sean Duffy, each of whom is unopposed in their own party's primary.

At the state level, Democrats will find ten candidates in the race for governor alone, though two of them (Andy Gronik and Dana Wachs) have already dropped out of the race.  Gov. Scott Walker also faces a challenger in the Republican primary.

There are also primaries for both parties in the Secretary of State and State Treasurer races.

Though everyone gets the same ballot, voters can only participate in one party's primary.  Ballots that contain votes for multiple parties won't be counted unless the voter selected a party preference on the ballot.

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 14. Visit to find your polling places, learn about voter ID requirements, and get other information about elections.
