WARREN, Mich. (AP) - Joe Biden is making a direct appeal to blue-collar workers who might have voted Republican four years ago but now regret it. Biden is in Michigan talking to autoworkers as he attempts to rebuild the Democratic “blue wall” that crumbled four years ago and helped catapult Donald Trump to the White House.

Biden spoke Wednesday about his new plan focused on boosting American manufacturing. He noted that a local General Motors transmission plant closed last year despite Trump’s pledges to protect Michigan jobs.

Trump's campaign says Biden “has proven over and over” that he represents corporate interests over American workers.
