Wildlife officials from around the Midwest are in Wisconsin to discuss chronic wasting disease. Wisconsin DNR Secretary Preston Cole says the states need to come up with a regional approach for slowing down the disease, saying we need to stop duplicating efforts.
Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel is opposing a federal plan to drop gray wolves from the endangered species list. Federal officials wants to turn management of the species over to the states, but Nessel says eliminating the shield would lead to renewed hunting and could imperil the species.
