A Wisconsin man has died after a vehicle rollover incident near Mellen, Wisconsin on Saturday September, 11th.

According to the Ashland County Sheriff's Office, a 911 call came shortly before 2 p.m. reporting a truck rollover on State Highway 13, south of Mellen in the town of Morse.

According to the report, Ricky R. Bartz and his wife Tracy of Tomahawk, WI were traveling southbound on the highway when a truck headed in the opposite direction, driven by David P. Francisco, 51, crossed over into the traffic lane.

That's when Bartz, 57 maneuvered the truck, which ended up causing his vehicle to rollover, coming to a rest on its roof in the northbound traffic lane.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Ashland County Deputy Coroner. Bartz's wife Tracy, 52 who was a passenger in the vehicle, sustained minor injuries.

Sheriff's Deputies, Mellen Police, DNR and GLIFWC wardens and Mellen Fire and Ambulance repsonsed to the scene. The crash remains under investigation by the Ashland County Sheriff's Office and the Wisconsin State Patrol, which is conducting a full forensic reconstruction of the crash.
