Monday was supposed to mark the beginning of the massive Superior Street reconstruction project in downtown Duluth, but it's partly covered in snow. The City of Duluth now says construction is expected to begin Wednesday.

Because of the delay, the Duluth Transit Authority is delaying a change in bus routes until Tuesday as well. All westbound buses traveling to and from the Duluth Transportation Center will be detoured starting Tuesday.

A major construction project was also supposed to begin Monday on I-35 in southern Pine County. It's not immediately known if the weather will cause any delay to the project.
