Police: Man Arrested after Life-Threatening Assault

A man is in jail after an assault that police described as "life-threatening."

The incident happened at about 3:50 p.m. Sunday in the 5600 block of Grand Avenue in West Duluth.  Police found a 27-year-old man with a head injury.

The man was taken to a local hospital.  His condition was not known as of Monday afternoon.

After an investigation, officers arrested a 22-year-old man on a possible charge of first-degree assault.  The St. Louis County Attorney's Office is considering charges in the case.
