Learning to cook can be really fun, if you have a good teacher. And CHOICE, unlimited folks have a great one in Jackie Nelson.

"I love cooking and I love baking. I've made a lot of recipes over the years, and I like sharing that with everybody," she told us.

Now, every Tuesday, she logs into Zoom and leads a cooking class with participants from CHOICE.

She takes them through step by step, and makes sure no one is left behind.

WDIO was there for the Hoisin Pork and Noodles and Pistachio Pudding Salad day. And it looked delicious! "It brings me such joy to see their happiness, and to be able to bring everybody together. It makes me very happy," Nelson said.

CHOICE moved much of their programming to remote services during the pandemic.

You can pre-order the cookbook for a donation of $12, and by calling CHOICE: 218-724-5869.

And these memories are being preserved in a cookbook.
