When you want to redevelop or reuse a building, getting to know the building codes can be a process. The city of Duluth wants to make sure navigating that process isn't dificult.

They've started the Coffee and Conversation series, which feature topics that would help someone understand more. The first one was in May, and about 30 people attended.

Wednesday morning there is one focused on what does 'up to code' mean for you? "We will help you deal with sprinklers, exiting, and accessbility issues. Sometimes mechanical systems need to be upgraded. To how an architect can help you. And we want people to know that we're here to help them make good decisions," shared Wendy Rannenberg, construction services manager for the city.

The meeting is Wednesday, September 18th, from 8-9:30am at the Norshor Theatre. Please use the Skywalk entrance. You will also get an opportunity to tour the Norshor afterwards.
