The Duluth Fire Department has issued a warning about dangerous swimming conditions on Park Point for the second day in a row.

The advisory was first issued Monday and reissued Tuesday. It's now in effect until 10 a.m. Wednesday.

The fire department says current wind and wave conditions can support rip currents, which are life-threatening for anyone entering the water. Drownings have occurred on Park Point when conditions have been similar in the past.

Red flags are being put up at several locations to warn of the danger. Lifeguards are not on duty because of the warning.
