Fans could feel another national title was coming, but jumped around for joy when the final horn sounded.

Fans then took to the streets to continue the celebration. During the celebration, Lake Ave S was closed for about an hour for the safety of the crowd.

WDIO News caught up with fans, and even a Duluth Police officer who reacted to the big win.

"I'm super proud of the Bulldogs. Super proud. We deserve this. We work for this all season. This is all we've been doing. This is all we do," said Bulldog fan Zachary Kalisch.

"It's so awesome. All our class and a lot of people came out to support, and we're really proud of the UMD hockey team," said Bulldog fan Whitney Lloid.

"It's awesome, and especially with it being the second time in a row, so that's great, and them being there three times in a row as well," said Duluth Police Department officer Tait Erickson.

During the celebration, Duluth Police say a 20-year-old man was arrested for underaged consumption, and disorderly conduct after throwing a snow ball at officers.
