Two people are temporarily displaced after an early morning fire Thursday.
It happened at about 3:45 a.m. on the 1900 block of Jefferson Street in Duluth's Endion neighborhood.
The fire department said flames were coming from a first floor window. A Duluth police squad on scene used an extinguisher from outside the window to put out as much as they could. They also helped evacuate the tenants.
When fire crews got there, they put out any remaining flames. The fire was reportedly contained to one room.
The DFD estimates there was $7,000 in damages. The cause is under investigation.
