The Superior Fire Department says a home on Tower Avenue is uninhabitable after a Saturday morning fire.

Firefighters, police officers, and Mayo Ambulance responded to the fire in a single-family home at 2220 Tower Avenue at 5 a.m.  One person who was home at the time was able to safely exit on their own.

Fire crews found heavy smoke conditions and closed Tower Avenue for about an hour and a half as they battled the fire.  No one was injured.

The fire caused about $8,000 in damage.  The cause is under investigation.
