There is a new way to honor the amazing work done by non-profits in the Northland. WDIO and the Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation are proud to present the Touchstone Celebration.  Each year, the Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation makes hundreds of grants to non-profits that do amazing work.

This year, these six projects are getting special recognition. It's work that has kept our community going and growing, despite the challenges of COVID 19 and more.

Renee Passal shares stories about the work, and foundation president and CEO Shaun Floerke helped share the story about the foundation and its values.

Here are the six featured in this year's celebration, along with the projects they used the grants for.

  • Care Partners of Cook County: A session on mindfulness to help caregivers be the best they can be for their loved ones.

  • Diaspora Gardens: A new giving garden in the East Hillside helped grow good food and promote growth and healing for people.
